Andy,
I just caught word of this post. Thanks so much for being a guy who understands, and is willing to write about, just how freaking hard it is to brew (and sell) lager beer. We'll keep at it!
One note: we aren't anywhere near 7000 barrels in production. In 2008 we brewed roughly 900 barrels of Buzzards Bay and 500 barrels of contracts. Thus, extra thanks for noticing our tiny brand.
Cheers to great drinking brews and Happy New Year,
Bill

Andy, I must say I've been a fan of Buzzard's Bay products at first sip. I've spent a lot of time in the New Bedford area, and even made it a point to stop by the brewery and do the tour. Great group of guys, quality beer, and they were even nice enough to let me taste their altbier straight from the tank. Glad to see they're expanding with some sessionable stuff, especially compared to the more "extreme" market.

Great post. I always wondered what was up with this brewery. I'll have to pick up some of that black lager in time for thanksgiving!
