I have always said that size doesnt matter. In fact I don't really like using barrel production statistics to determine if a brewer should be considerd a "craft brewer" or anything else. What matters is if the brewer makes great beer and "plays well with others". Boston Beer Company does, and that's what counts for me. We should all wish every brewer the fate of unlimited growth!

I've never liked the tone of Michael Moore's films, but he always presents a good point nonetheless. BW might fall into that realm.

But why does is seem all the brewers ganging up on SAM? No, they're not a "small, independent craft brewer." But Jim Koch is an advocate for good beer and he continues to expand market share for the entire craft brew industry.

Hi Andy-

I obviously agree about the tone but also look forward to seeing the film to see how it is all handled.

Best,

I was worried about the tone of the film as soon as I saw the title. I'm still going to see it, more so for the sake of learning about the industry.

DFH is undergoing a substantial expansion, as are many other "small" craft brewers. Good for them, I say.
